Anh-Phuong Nguyen, is an artist based in London, working between the UK and Vietnam. Her practice examines contemporary material culture and systems of production, circulation, and display, with an interest in how objects accrue meaning within broader social and economic frameworks.
Working across sculpture, installation, and moving image, her work navigates between high and low cultural registers, humour and seriousness. Drawing loosely from contexts such as hospitality and tourism, Nguyen considers how narratives of desire, fantasy, and value are constructed and maintained, and how manufactured objects participate in the staging of experience and consumption.
